Release of Air Jordan III Retro '88

The Air Jordan III have been an iconic sneaker that have stayed alive for more than two decades. The biggest breakthrough was the design of the shoe. The first two shoes of the Air Jordan series were based on fashion aspect of the sneakers. The Air Jordan III followed that trend but created a new design  the public are not familiar with.

Back in 1988, Air Jordan release a shoe that had a unique elephant print that has never been used on a shoe before. The sneaker was designed by Tinker Hatfield, who later became one of the most influential man in the sneaker culture. Along with that very distinct pattern on the shoe, the Air Jordan III was the first time ever that Jordan and Nike introduce the Jumpman logo on a shoe. This created a new symbol for Jordan Brand because for the first time, the Jumpman can stand alone without piggy backing next to the Nike swoosh.

The official name for the colorway is White/Black/Red/Cement
On February 6, 2013, Jordan Brand are re-releasing the Air Jordan III with all original design, including the Nike Air logo. The shoe was re-release in 1994, 2001, 2007, and 2011 but had Jumpman logo on the back heel. Whereas, the Air Jordan III Retro '88 features the iconic Nike Air logo that has not been on the shoe since 1988. This year, the sneaker is retail at $200 exclusive at NikeStore. This is the most anticipated sneaker by Jordan Brand releasing this year so far.
